Mosaic ’07─A Reflection of Progress, Customer Exchange and Infor Collaboration

At June’s end, Mosaic ’07 drew more than 360 Infor professionals to the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Anaheim, California to collaboratively enhance education and networking for the greater Infor user community.

The event, aptly named Mosaic ‘07 to reflect the number of product communities represented by the organization, created the ultimate formula for knowledge exchange between Infor customers, Infor representatives and solution-providers.

“Mosaic 07 gave us a venue to exchange and learn from one another…the people that know our business best,” says Nancy Schoeben, SSAU Immediate Past Chair. “That’s what Mosaic…and SSAU is all about. Although past conferences have been outstanding events, this year’s event was truly a milestone for us. For the first time since the acquisition off SSA Global by Infor, we’re getting to hear about and provide feedback on the future of the products we use everyday to run our business.”

The program combined more than 80 customer and expert-driven sessions, direct channels to Infor representatives and informal networking opportunities. Educational content served Infor customers at all business levels and functions regardless of company size, industry or need. Those customers with a need for business-focused or product-specific education were afforded the opportunity to tailor their curriculum based on their area of interest.

Prior to the main event, customers lead attendees through in-depth Pre-Conference Sessions. The format allowed for a more exclusive setting with more intensive training on topics such as Change Management and Supply Chain Management.

On Monday, the event officially kicked off with an exclusive Infor corporate overview presented by Thomas Lynch, Infor SVP Business Development who covered the past, present and future of Infor, including the Infor Product Roadmap and Open SOA. Along with Thomas, Infor was represented by a platinum sponsorship and more than 19 sessions and pre-conference sessions. Infor’s footprint on this year’s event represents an evolving partnership that will develop more and more in the future.

Highlights on the days following included organizational updates pertinent to members and the Infor community. Illustrating the changing landscape and inherent evolution of SSAU, Nancy Schoeben, SSAU President opened up the event by unveiling SSAU’s new name, logo and tagline ─ Mosaic, the independent community of independent Infor™ software users.

Other conference announcements included the launch of additional Mosaic-hosted educational offerings on the horizon for Infor customers, such as eLearning (Webinar) series, vertical (product-focused) events and an enhanced presence at Inforum 2007. More information will be available on these programs as planning progresses.

After prior year attendee feedback, Product Communities were integrated even more into this year’s event through peer-driven, product-focused roundtable discussions and meetings. Participants in community programming at the event got a snapshot of what to expect from these groups on a year-round basis.

Finally, Partner Solution Presentations that took place throughout the event provided attendees live demonstrations and deep dive information on product features, solutions, and benefits to help them solve their day-to-day issues.
